CD Projekt Red has been on a roll lately with the resurgence of Cyberpunk 2077. The game recently won Steam's Labor of Love award for the year 2022, which is a testament to its epic comeback from a disastrous launch.

Speaking of Cyberpunk 2077, the Polish studio has agreed to a $1.8 million settlement for a class-action lawsuit by a group of investors. CDPR faced a total of four separate class-action suits that were merged into one common action.

The group asserts that the studio hid the true state of the game from investors when it was released. The stocks of CD Projekt Red fell sharply after the botched launch of Cyberpunk 2077 causing investors to lose money. The game was plagued by game-breaking issues, rendering the game unplayable on older generation consoles.

The settlement amount covers "settlement administration costs, taxes, attorney's fees, and costs" for eligible class members. The eligible class members are investors who purchased CD Projekt Red stocks from the period of January 16, 2020, to December 17, 2020.
