If you need further proof that gamers are the forgiving kind, all you need to do is to take a look at Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Despite coming out to a ton of praise from critics, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was plagued with issues from the start. The PC port, in particular, was notably terrible, forcing Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts to apologize and promise several weeks' worth of fixes. And, while Jedi: Survivor did ultimately outsell its predecessor, most expected its unimpressive launch to be an anchor that weighed down the game's overall sales numbers.
Except, it didn't.
Whether it was due to some sort of Jedi Mind Trick or Jedi: Survivor was just too good to pass up, Star Wars fans bought it in droves en route to securing the top spot in the United States market for April 2023.
