Outriders is all about looting and shooting, perhaps being overly weighted to the former.
People Can Fly and Square Enix's latest title is described as a "looter shooter", which naturally means that there is tons of gear for you to pick up and loot from all the fallen enemies. However, while the game insists that it's trying to create its own genre, the looting system feels very familiar.
Anyone who's ever played games like Destiny, Diablo, and even Borderlands, will find that the increasing rarity and power of the gear in Outriders works in a similar manner.
As a matter of fact, the rarity system in Outriders goes from Common up to Legendary.
With that said, as familiar as the core gameplay of Outriders is, the game has still managed to separate itself and create its own identity. This means that there are a couple of things in Outriders that you might not know about, even if you're a hardcore shooter fan.
