343 shoots down rumors of Halo 5 on the PC

With that said, 343 did not provide a clear reason for not porting Halo 5: Guardians to the PC. Jarrard argues that the studio is busy working on Infinite. However, the studio has had years to port the game. It's a surprise that 343 didn't do it already.

When Halo Infinite is released in December, Halo 5 will remain the only Halo game not available on the PC. This leaves PC fans wanting an opportunity to play Halo 5, especially since the rest are included in The Master Chief Collection.

If it's any consolation, Halo 5: Guardians isn't one of the best entries in the franchise. Mind you, it's not a bad game. It's a good one. It's just that you won't be missing out on much even if you didn't get a chance to play it. Not to mention, Halo Infinite will probably do a good job explaining any events that you might have missed out on if you didn't get a chance to play Halo 5 before.

We'd be lying if we said we didn't want Halo 5: Guardians to be included in the Master Chief Collection, but we're not too worried either.

343 is currently busy working on Halo Infinite. Fans can look forward to getting a chance to play the series' first game with a free multiplayer component. The game is scheduled to host a new multiplayer preview on September 24 with potentially more playtests coming as we inch closer to the game's December launch.
