Netflix’s You has become one of the platform’s most popular Original after the streamer picked it up from Lifetime. After getting little attention in its initial run, You has become an undeniable hit, thanks to Netflix’s effective marketing tactics. Of course, the show’s natural hook doesn’t hurt either; the world can’t seem to stop fetishizing Penn Badgley’s suave and dreamy but mentally ill stalker.
Several years later, You is coming back for a fourth season and it’s making several changes to its cast and locale.
After Joe’s complicated relationship with his fantasized beaus takes him from New York to Los Angeles and, most recently, California, season 4 will take Penn Badgley across the pond and deep into the heart of London. And, oh, he’s not Joe Golberg now, by the way. As per the appropriately weird and creepy teaser trailer, Joe Golberg now goes by a new name, Professor Jonathan Moore, after he goes through some “refinement”.
Of course, who are we kidding? This is still Joe we’re talking about. There’s a reason why Joe is in London.
The third season of You saw Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn’s relationship end in murderous fashion. The closing scenes show Joe following Marienne Bellamy’s Tati Gabrielle to where she and her daughter went. Now, we know that she’s in London.
Judging by the fact that Love Quinn is from an affluent family with connections, we’re pretty sure we haven’t seen the last of the Quinns. For now, we’ll leave all the speculating to you. You’ll get a lot of time to theorize while waiting for the first part of You Season 4 to drop on February 10 followed by the second part on March 10.
