Starting on Thursday, March 18, Xbox Game Pass PC subscribers will receive EA Play, EA's own games subscription service, as a perk.
Microsoft revealed the news just a day before the update drops and has thanked the PC community for their continued patience. They also detailed some of the biggest titles now available to play for Xbox Game Pass PC subscribers. The Xbox Game Pass Library Continues to Grow Microsoft and EA have worked closely together since last year to include EA Play in the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
Originally, Microsoft was to make EA Play available for Xbox Game Pass PC subscribers back in December. This is a month after making it available for Xbox Game Pass console subscribers.
Unfortunately, on the day they were supposed to make EA Play one of the latest perks on the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft announced that they will be moving its release date to a later unspecified date in 2021 instead.
While no exact release date was announced then, Microsoft has now made EA Play available for Xbox Game Pass PC or Ultimate subscribers.
Once the EA Play update goes live, Xbox Game Pass subscribers on the PC only need to download the Xbox app for Windows 10 and EA Desktop app. After that, it's pretty straightforward.
