Best Xbox Game Pass Plan for PC
If you're gaming on a PC only, we'd recommend you go for Xbox Game Pass PC, costing $9.99 / month. The ultimate plan may seem exciting, but the extra $5 isn't worth it if you don't have a console. The additional perks of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, namely Xbox Live Gold and EA Play, are only redeemable on the console and cloud gaming is still in its infant stages. So even if you do go for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan for a PC, you'll get the same perks as the Xbox Game Pass PC plan.
Best Xbox Game Pass Plan for Console (Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X)
If you're playing on a console, hands down you should go for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan. In addition to hundreds of games that can't be redeemed on PC, you also get access to Xbox Gold Live and the complete library of EA games. Just the latter two make the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate worth it on a console. Furthermore, the wider selection of games means you won't have to buy games often, except for the new third-party titles.
If you're planning to buy an Xbox Series S/X console, you can get 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just $24.99, which is one heck of a steal deal.
In case of a console, it's not worthing saving the $5 by opting Xbox Game Pass console because you end up losing more than you gain.
Can I try Xbox Game Pass?
Yes, you can try Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for 3 months for just $1. The trial gives you unlimited access to all the games in Xbox Game Pass library, plus elusive features on the console such as Xbox Live Gold and EA play for just $1.
