2K Sports knows that WWE 2K20 was not its best effort, which is why it skipped an entire year to work on WWE 2K22. After taking more time to polish WWE 2K22, it appears that Visual Concepts is finally ready to launch the game.
WWE 2K22's March 2022 release window has always been an open secret. However, this is the first time that 2K has officially confirmed the specific release date. According to 2K's latest announcement, WWE 2K22 will be released on March 11. But, if you pre-order the more expensive Deluxe Edition ($99.99) and nWo 4-Life Edition ($119.99), you'll get to play WWE 2K22 a few days earlier on March 8.
Unfortunately, it appears that WWE 2K22 will suffer from the same plight of other cross-gen games. 2K confirmed that the Standard Edition of WWE 2K22 will cost more on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X ($69.99 vs $59.99), with a Cross-Gen Bundle ($79.99) also available albeit without the early access pre-order bonus.
The good news here is that there is still a pre-order bonus for buying the Standard Edition or Cross-Gen Bundle of WWE 2K22. As leaked earlier, the pre-order DLC for WWE 2K22 is the Undertaker Immortal Pack. This contains three different versions of The Undertaker: Phanom Mask, Lord of Darkness, and Boneyard March. On top of this, the pre-order pack comes with themed content in the MyFACTION game mode based on the Undertaker.
