The biggest change coming to Call of Duty: Warzone with Season 6 - launching on September 29 - is the addition of a new subway system to Verdansk.

The cinematic trailer of the new season showed off two new operators - Farah and Nikolai - reactivating the subway, but we didn't know much about it until recently.

In this guide, you'll find all of the features, dangers and tactics you need to know about the subway to make the most of this new game-changing mechanic.

Stations

The function of the subway is, at first glance, simple. The entire new feature revolves around stations placed in key locations throughout Verdansk. There is a total of 7 stations, forming a crooked ring around the middle section of the map, with automatically travelling subway trains connecting them in both directions.

You simply go to the nearest station, wait for the train to roll up to the platform, hop on, and enjoy the ride. Easy, right?

Well, there are a few ways Infinity Ward spiced up the new mechanic, and the subway may completely alter the game's top strategies compared to the pre-Season 6 meta. There are a few key things you need to know about the stations, starting with the locations: Verdansk International Airport Lozoff Pass Verdansk Center Downtown/Tavorsk District Barakett Shopping District Verdansk Train Station Torsk Bloc Every station has an identical layout, aside of one small room down by the platforms accessible by a double door, which may have a varied internal decoration. The stations almost act a bit like funnels, sequentially tightening the engagement ranges.
