Call Of Duty: Warzone Season 6 Coming September 29

A Call of Duty League team, Minnesota ROKKR, shared a Tweet which unofficially revealed the launch date of Season 6 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone.

We imagine this had official sanction, but then again Activision is leakier than the average bullet-ridden barrels that appear in their games. We know nothing about the content of the next season, but we do know that ROKKR is hosting a tourney to celebrate, featuring popular Warzone content creators!

The tournament will begin on September 29, which the team confirms is also the start date of Season 6. Activision and Infinity Ward have yet to spill the beans regarding what will actually involved, but we have a few educated guesses.

A new operator, two new weapons, a couple of new game modes as well as a new battle pass will be released, possibly with narrative details that start to tie things into Black Ops - Cold War.

We don't have a lot of seasons to go until the launch of Cold War, which will herald a whole new era of Warzone, and we imagine Activision is more than eager to use the hugely popular battle royale game, with its millions of players, to advertise the upcoming launch. Hopefully more details will be revealed about the content in the coming days!

If you enjoy watching Warzone streamers, then you'll have another thing to look forward to as well. ROKKR hasn't announced the lineup yet, but a number of popular content creators will duke it out against one another in September and October in a tournament, with the grand prize being $100,000.

We suspect the combatants will soon be named, and then fans will be able to cheer on their preferred content creator as they clash on the eve of Season 6's launch. Keep an eye on the ROKKR Twitter profile for updates.
