Iconic Halo Warthog crashes Free Guy movie premiere

The official Halo account dropped several images featuring several popular figures who either starred in or made a cameo in the film.

It's worth noting that this isn't the first time that 343 or Microsoft has used the Warthog in its marketing efforts. However, this is the first time that we're seeing the hulking tank on a red carpet.

As for Free Guy, critics seem to be loving the film so far. Many are saying that it is an enjoyable homage to the gaming community. If the consensus is still the same when it comes out publicly on August 13, we might just have no choice but to update our list of the best video game movies.

Speaking of, Free Guy is the latest in a long line of films and TV shows that's taking advantage of the growing acceptance of the video game industry. Netflix, in particular, has a laundry list of video game adaptations. The streaming platform has even decided to expand its reach to the video game space, with reports that it's going to include video games as part of its subscription soon.

Meanwhile, over on Halo's side, 343 Industries has hinted that the buggy first technical test was just the first of many. A couple of weeks ago, Xbox boss Phil Spencer downplayed the importance of Halo Infinite for the Halo franchise. However, after seeing how much effort Microsoft and 343 are putting into marketing the game, we're inclined to disagree.

It will be interesting to see what 343 and Microsoft come up next as part of their marketing efforts for Halo Infinite.
