The last we heard about the Far Cry franchise is that a seventh mainline installment and a multiplayer spin-off are already in the works. But, according to a new report from Insider Gaming, Ubisoft is "merging" two studios to work on future Far Cry titles.

The report points out new job listings from Ubisoft Toronto that confirm that it's helping Ubisoft Montreal on what we're presuming are multiple Far Cry projects.

This shouldn't come as a surprise as Ubisoft Toronto previously collaborated with Ubisoft Montreal with Far Cry 5 and Far Cry 6 in the past.

Ubisoft Toronto is currently confirmed to be working on a remake of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.
