Tyr voice actor teases potential God of War sequel

The award-winning sequel doesn't explain what happened to the now-pacifist Aesir until the credits have finished rolling and his post-game appearance opens the door for Prendergast to return in a different game.

Who knows? Maybe Atreus and Angroda or Kratos and Freya will seek Tyr out now that they've stopped Ragnarok?

Of course, the most likely explanation is that this has something to do with the God of War TV show. Amazon Prime Video secured the rights to do a live-action adaptation of the award-winning video game franchise by Santa Monica Studio.

It's believed that the show will be based on 2018's God of War, which has sold more than 23 million units since it came out. The show will likely take creative liberties and add events not seen in the game.

But, we wouldn't deny that it'd be intriguing to see the real Tyr again in a new God of War game.

Our personal headcanon is that Atreus and Angroda will encounter Tyr while looking for the other Giants. Although Tyr and the Giants aren't exactly on the best terms, he still aided Faye, Guardian of the Jötnar, in hiding the gate to Jötunheim from Odin.

At this point, only time will tell what Prendergast is talking about. Just don't expect this to be revealed anytime soon.
