Xbox-exclusive The Medium Is Coming To The Ps5

The Medium, Bloober Team's psychological horror title, will be coming to Sony's next-generation PlayStation 5 console after it was first released as an Xbox exclusive in January earlier this year. Xbox Series S/X Loses One of Its Few Exclusives to the PS5 According to Sony, The Medium will be even more immersive with DualSense support for the PS5.

In The Medium, players take on the role of a woman who can, as the game's title suggests, travel in between the worlds of the living and the dead. The game has a unique mechanic where both worlds can overlap in real-time and the protagonist can exist in both worlds at certain parts of the game. This lets her solve puzzles in the real world and unlock a door in the spirit world, or vice versa.

It's an impressive mechanic that fits very well with the overall theme of The Medium, as well as the ending, which, as we've explained in an earlier article, can be difficult to wrap your head around.

With that said, The Medium was supposed to be one of the very few games out there that are available only on the Xbox Series S/X. However, according to Bloober Team and Sony, The Medium's timed exclusivity will be ending on September 3, 2021 as it launches on the PlayStation 5. This confirms an earlier leak after The Medium received an ESRB rating for the PlayStation 5.

In addition to a release date for the PlayStation 5 version of The Medium, Bloober Team also confirmed that The Medium will have full DualSense support on the PS5.
