After the narrative-driven action RPG made its debut on the PS3 in 2013, Sony and Naughty Dog released a controversial but still highly successful sequel, The Last of Us Part II, in 2020.

Two years and most of the COVID-19 pandemic later, the wheels on the rest of the studio's The Last of Us projects are finally set in motion. For starters, The Last of Us Part 1, a remake of the 2013 title, is coming out in September. Meanwhile, a multiplayer spin-off is set to come out in the next few years. Finally, HBO is starting to reveal more about the live-action adaptation.
