It looks like you won't have to choose between watching the Kansas City Chiefs go against the Philadelphia Eagles at this year's Super Bowl and Episode 5 of The Last of Us on February 12. In what's an unprecedented move, HBO has moved the premiere date of The Last of Us Episode 5 two days earlier to February 10 at 9:00 PM / 6:00 PM PST. This means that it won't be splitting its Sunday night show with Super Bowl LVII.

Technically, The Last of Us Episode 5 will still air on February 12 at its usual timeslot on HBO. However, it will be available to watch on HBO Max and HBO On Demand starting February 10.

We recommend going with the latter given how immensely popular HBO's The Last of Us has become. After a record-setting premiere episode and a larger follow-up, Episode 3 was the series' most-watched and most divisive episode yet.

At this point, it wouldn't surprise us if the recently-concluded Episode 4 will continue the series' upwards trend, bucking any and all expectations.
