With its fourth season currently filming, the satire superhero television show, The Boys, is one of Prime Video's most successful shows. It had 10.6 billion minutes streamed in 2022, and is currently the most-watched show on the streaming platform, ahead of one of the most expensive shows ever made in Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which cost over $700 million to make.

Now, in what will be welcome news to the show's fans, showrunner Eric Kripke has confirmed, via his official Twitter handle, that it will continue beyond the forthcoming season. In the tweet, he stated, "I'm here to prep & direct the Season 4 finale. No, not the series finale, there will be more!"

While Kripke's tweet seemingly confirms that Prime Video will renew the show for at least one more season, the studio is yet to provide an official confirmation that backs up his claim.

Kripke's message about future installments is the latest in a long line of his tweets that have helped to keep fans up to date on the show's progress. When filming began last year, the director took to social media to announce it. Alongside this, he posted a picture that confirmed the first episode is titled Department of Dirty Tricks. Kripke similarly revealed in early February that The Boys season 4 finale will be titled Assassination Run.
