For fans of a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars Celebration 2023 was a huge success. Among other things, the event saw the revelation of the final gameplay trailer of the upcoming game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor ahead of its release later this month.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set five years after the events of the previous game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The trailer, available via the dedicated EA Star Wars YouTube account, opens with a young Cal Kestis battling against the elements in a desert.
Then, it pans to the young Jedi demonstrating some impressive lightsaber wielding skill as well as proficiency with the Force as he battles against Imperial Army soldiers both on the ground and on a speeder bike. Among other things, the short trailer also shows Cal battling a Rancor and Destroyer Droids, all amidst life-threatening blaster fire.
The game’s synopsis reads, “The story of Cal Kestis continues in STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™, an epic new adventure that will push Cal further than ever as he fights to protect the galaxy from descending into darkness.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will require pretty heavy PC specifications to run. Its minimum requirements include a RAM size of 8GB and a GPU of the same size. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is not the only Star Wars franchise game coming out – earlier this month, Funko Games announced a new expandable card game for two players that will see them represent either the dark or the light side of the Force.
Some of the other big reveals at the Celebration were the release of a new Ahsoka trailer, teasing the first live-action appearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn, and a first look at the upcoming Jude Law-led Skeleton Crew.
Star Wars: Jedi Survivor will arrive on Friday, April 28. The action adventure title will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC platforms. It is currently available for pre-order with EA throwing in the Jedi Survival cosmetic pack inspired by Obi-Wan Kenobi.
