Last year, Quantic Dream announced that it was working on a new Star Wars role-playing game. The announcement for Star Wars Eclipse happened at The Game Awards.
New information about the game has been leaked in a podcast. According to a report by Sacred Symbols' Colin Moriarty (paywalled and transcribed by VGC), the action-adventure RPG will feature a new race called the Zaraan. This new race has not appeared in any of the previous Star Wars games, novels, or movies.
The Zaraans are a humanoid race and will be led by one of its members, named Sarah. The plot will revolve around Sarah and the political conflict within the empire.
According to the leaked information, the Zaraan "prides itself on political and military aggression, and similar to what you find elsewhere in Star Wars there's little differentiation between males and females when it comes to roles and responsibilities. But, there's an interesting wrinkle, when Zaraan marries, their nuptials carry interesting military implications as they become one governing unit that works together."
