The Star Wars franchise is one of the biggest and most profitable franchises in the world, spanning movies, merchandise, television series, comic books, and video games. But, the video games arm of the franchise is about to get bigger. A few months ago, we heard about Disney's alleged plans torelease two Star Wars games every year.

These plans are currently well underway, with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor kicking off the year followed by other upcoming AAA titles, including Star Wars: Outlaws and the presumably still-not-canceled Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake.

Another of these games is Star Wars Eclipse. We first got wind of the game in 2021 when the developer, Quantic Dreams, unveiled it to the world at that year's The Game Awards.

As far as we know, the events of the action-adventure title will take place during the High Republic era of George Lucas's sprawling galaxy and will feature numerous characters, species, and planets – all of them new.

For fans of the Star Wars franchise, the game can't come soon enough, what with the all-new everything that it promises. Unfortunately, these fans will be waiting for quite some time.
