Squid Game creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, is finally talking about Squid Game again.

After confirming that Squid Game is returning in January and teasing updates in March, we finally have more info about when Squid Game will finally come back. The only problem? It is not necessarily good news.

According to Vanity Fair, the survival drama TV series' creator predicted that Season 2 won't hit Netflix until late 2023 if not 2024. Vanity Fair adds that the director "only has about three pages' worth of ideas that he plans to run into a script," and that the next season will have "more games."

Squid Game is easily the most successful Netflix show, outing Bridgerton by a mile. Not to mention, the series didn't cost Netflix as much as you would expect it either, making it an economical investment for the now-struggling streamer. Although it would have been nice to see Season 2 of Squid Game arrive earlier, 2-3 years isn't that long of a time.
