Ted Lasso star, Juno Temple, is joining Sony Pictures Entertainment's third installment of its highly successful comic book film adaptation series, Venom.
This report is courtesy of Deadline, which also revealed that Tom Hardy will reprise his role as the titular character. However, the publication could not provide any detail on who Temple will be playing. Also, it couldn't provide information on any other cast members.
Kelly Marcel, who wrote the screenplay for Venom's second installment and was a contributor to the first, will pen Venom 3's screenplay based on a story she conceived with Hardy. Marcel will also sit in the director's chair for Venom 3 in what will be her directorial debut. Marcel will also serve as one of the producers, alongside Hardy, Avi Arad, Hutch Parker, Matt Tolmach, and Amy Pascal.
Temple has starred in several blockbuster movies like Maleficent, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Atonement, The Other Boleyn Girl, and The Dark Knight Rises. However, her role as Keeley Jones, an ambitious model who leads the marketing and public relations department of the fictitious English football team, AFC Richmond, in Ted Lasso is probably her most successful to date. For her performance, she received two Emmy Awards nominations and three Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations, among others.
