Seth Rollins is the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion

The championship match was back and forth for a while with both superstars clearly drained. The momentum then shifted as Rollins successfully connected a kick on Styles' face followed by a stomp on his hands, setting Styles up for a pedigree, which he escapes and counters with a pedigree of his own. Once again, Rollins kicks out at two and a half.

Clearly looking to close things out, Styles made the mistake of going for the Phenomenal Splash, leaving him wide open for a superkick followed by a pedigree and then a Stomp.

This was enough for Rollins to roll Styles up as Triple H hands him over the belt with the crowd, once again, serenading him.

It's safe to say that the earlier reports that the WWE might have doubts about crowning Rollins just as his Hollywood career supposedly takes off weren't true.

Rollins is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a still-undisclosed role as part of the upcoming Phase 5 film, Captain America: New World Order. Styles even alluded to this before their match as Rollins couldn't make it to the press conference.

Both AJ Styles and Seth Rollins have been workhorses for the WWE for the past few years and are equally deserving of the title belt. Styles, in particular, is in the middle of a heel run with The OC on WWE SmackDown. Meanwhile, Rollins has fought and won against anyone that the WWE throws at him, including Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39 and Omos at WWE Backlash.

With this victory, Rollins just reaffirmed his commitment to the WWE. In its initial reveal, Triple H promised that the WWE World Heavyweight Champion will defend the belt at any time and any place.

The question now is, what's next for Rollins?

Only time will tell who Rollins will feud against next, but it wouldn't surprise us if Logan Paul comes in and draws the ire of Rollins as his first title defense in the next WWE PPV. After all, their match at WrestleMania 39 was easily one of the best fights of the event. Fans surely wouldn't mind seeing both of them go at it again, especially after Paul expressed his interest in winning the very same belt that's now on Rollins' waist.
