What kind of role does Seth Rollins play in Captain America 4?

The Visionary was recently spotted on the set of Captain America: New World Order portraying a still-undisclosed role.

It appears Seth "Freakin" Rollins is taking his flair for the dramatic from the WWE to the big screen as evidenced by his role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Captain America: New World Order.

The WWE could lose one of its biggest Superstars if he pursued a full-time career in Hollywood after Captain America: New World Order.

Rollins was previously confirmed to be joining the cast of Captain America 4 but fans didn't quite know what to expect from the flamboyant wrestler.

The leading contender for the World Heavyweight Championship was recently spotted on the set of the film with a photo and video taken of Rollins in costume.

The evidence has since made rounds on social media, much to the delight of fans.

While Captain America; New World Order won't be Seth Rollins' first feature film appearance, it will be his most prominent role yet.

Rollins, whose real name is Colby Lopez, is one of the most consistent presence in the WWE. His raw energy, athleticism, and showmanship as well as charismatic persona, have earned him a strong fan base even though he's been out of the title scene for a while.

Given his penchant for going over the top, Rollins fits the role of an antagonist in a film filled with people who can literally stop helicopters from flying with their bare hands.

Although the MCU has kept the specifics of his character under wraps, fans are expecting nothing less than a thrilling performance from The Visionary. As one of WWE's most captivating entertainers, Rollins' ability is expected to translate well on the big screen as well.

Still, it will be fascinating to see how Rollins will adjust to playing a villainous role in a big-budget production.

Seth Rollins' ability to portray multiple roles will do him well if he wants to be in Hollywood.

More importantly, it's curious that this is coming up now. Does this mean that Rollins is no longer full-time in the WWE as he pursues a Hollywood career? If so, the WWE likely won't put Rollins over AJ Styles in Jeddha. Keep in mind that the WWE introduced the World Heavyweight Championship belt so that a champion will always be ready to defend the RAW brand's title all the time. But, of course, this could just be a one-time thing that Rollins is just trying out.

Rollins most recently appeared in the critically-panned American comedy film, Like a Boss, starring Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne, and Salma Hayek.

After being a full-time WWE performer for the past decade, Seth Rollins' journey could take him to Hollywood next.

Wrestlers joining large cinematic universes are nothing new. But, they've mostly been on the DC Comics side of things with The Rock playing Black Adam before being dropped and John Cena doing a magnificent job as Peacemaker. Rollins will be the only active WWE wrestler to be part of the MCU after Marvel Studios declined to use scenes filmed by his real-life wife, Becky Lynch, for 2021's Eternals and following Dave Bautista's exit as Drax the Destroyer.

Unfortunately, it will be a while before fans will get a chance to see Rollins in action against the new Captain America and more. Captain America: New World Order, which might undergo a name change, will premiere on May 4, 2024.

In the meantime, Seth Rollins will face off against AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight Championship belt on May 27 at Night of Champions.
