The company behind the Sega Genesis console and iconic video game franchises like Sonic and Yakuza recently announced that it's working on a blockchain game.

Double Jump Tokyo, a blockchain company based in Japan, shared details about SEGA's first blockchain game on Medium. The info reveals that the NFT game will be based on the real-time strategy arcade series, Sangokushi Taisen.

SEGA nor Double Jump Tokyo have confirmed a release date and platforms for the game. It will be SEGA's first blockchain game. This means that users can potentially sell all digital in-game items as well as buy from other players
