Though gamers seem to be perpetually starved for the next big JRPG hit, Atlus has been playing it coy, keeping its cards tightly against its chest. This hasn't stopped the rumor mill from churning out all kinds of whispers about Persona 6, or at least giving us something juicy to talk about until the next big announcement drops.

Until recently, Persona has been historically released on PlayStation, but rumor has it that Persona 6 will be breaking free from its Sony exclusivity, with credible sources pointing towards a multi-platform release. This all began when industry insider Nate the Hate revealed on DirectXbox #13 that Persona 6 is coming to Xbox.

"From the information I've heard, it does seem as though Persona 6 will be coming to the Xbox, so fans have something to look forward to. I'm not 100% sure if it's, like, day-and-date with the PlayStation version, but considering the way the Persona games have been day-and-date with the multiplatform releases at this point, it may be a safe assumption to make that Persona 6 will be day-and-date on Xbox and PlayStation. It would be a really big deal if Microsoft was able to secure that on Game Pass, but I'd imagine that would take a lot to do."
