New Leak Claims That Persona 6 Is Coming to the Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2

Given Midori's reputation as a credible leaker, it's fair to assume that these rumors are closer to the truth. There was no word on whether a multi-platform release would include a PC version of the game, but the implication here is that Persona 6 could potentially make its debut on Steam as well.

Atlus has been characteristically tight-lipped about this, officially revealing nothing more about Persona 6 beyond its existence. Fans have been left to stitch together information from job postings, cryptic tweets, and the occasional slip-up in interviews. Speculation about the game's features, such as whether it will boast a female protagonist or when it will finally launch, remains nothing more.

The series, known for its intricate storytelling, deep character development, and the ability to consume every free moment of your life, has traditionally been a major PlayStation draw. However, Microsoft has been very vocal about its intent to expand its horizons in the Japanese market and get a stronger foothold in a region largely dominated by PlayStation and Nintendo.

Much like Atlus, Nintendo has also remained mum about the development of the Nintendo Switch successor, the Switch 2. Several sources have recently cited that the much-awaited console, which was originally expected to be released this year, has been delayed to 2025. If this is indeed true, it would mean Persona 6 will likely launch next year, or at least get an official announcement and reveal.

The last mainline entry in the franchise, Persona 5, was released in 2016. Since then, fans have had to contend with remakes and spin-off titles like Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload. Ultimately, the true aspiration for most fans is to play Persona 6, and from the looks of it, it may be available to a much bigger audience than ever before.
