It's no secret that Netflix struck gold when it acquired Cobra Kai from YouTube Red back in 2020. Now, the streaming giant isn't taking any time releasing subsequent seasons for the hit series, with Season 5 already almost completed even before Season 4 premieres.
When is Cobra Kai Season 5 going to release?
YouTube Red's decision to drop all original scripted programming turned out to be a godsend for Netflix. After acquiring the then-three-season series in June 2020 and releasing Season 3 on January 1, 2021, Netflix went ahead and greenlit Season 5 before even confirming that Season 4 was going to launch on December 31. In addition to this, we also learned that multiple spin-offs are already in discussion as Netflix is reportedly planning to release its own cinematic universe known as the "Miyagiverse".
