PlayStation 5 has a new tool for players, and it’s for everybody – literally.
Project Leonardo, which was revealed earlier this year, has been named, and it’s a lot more interesting than Sony let on.
The new PS5 controller, Access, is an accessibility-centered device with several features, most of which are aimed toward a more personalized experience. It lets you adjust buttons, triggers, as well as joystick positions, all to make it easier for the players to enjoy games.
According to Sony, it consulted several experts in the field of accessibility to account for everything from player strength, range of motion, and even physical needs.
Each kit comes with the following:
- Analog stick caps (available in standard, dome, and ball variations)
- Various button caps
- Pillow
- Flat
- Wide
- Overhang
- Curve
- Swappable and markable button cap tags
When connected to the PlayStation 5 interface, the Access lets players tailor their settings to better suit their preferences. It will allow them to make audio, visual, and control changes, ensuring everyone an enjoyable gaming experience, regardless of needs.
The PS5 Access Controller doesn’t have a price or a release window at the moment but you can already head on over to its website to keep yourself in the loop.
God of War: Ragnarok recently won an award for accessibility, proving that Sony is all about making their games enjoyable to everyone.
Sony is currently preparing for the launch of Final Fantasy XVI on June 22 as well as its upcoming PlayStation Showcase on May 24.
