In March, Capcom unveiled Resident Evil 4, a remake of the 2005 classic, to resounding critical acclaim. Its impact was felt immediately as it sped run its way to the four million units mark within its first two weeks on the market and five million units within its first four months, a testament to its exceptional reception among gamers. However, like many games of its caliber, it was initially confined to PC and consoles, specifically PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S platforms.

In a surprising turn of events, Apple revealed in September that a new version of Resident Evil 4 would soon grace its devices, promising an exciting expansion of its availability. Despite the initial announcement, Apple kept fans eagerly awaiting the specific release date, leaving them in suspense. Fortunately, Capcom has announced the game's release date, setting the stage for a highly anticipated launch.

According to a post via the game's official X account, Resident Evil 4 Remake will arrive on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as Mac and iPad devices with M1 chip or later on December 20, 2023. The game will support cross-progression, which means that gamers can continue playing on a new device where they paused while playing on another device.
