Apologies for the lack of a better word, but Remedy Entertainment are expert when it comes to trippy a** games. Both 2010's Alan Wake and 2018's Control are far from your typical gaming experiences, which would make sense for the Finnish studio to get a chance to work on something equally freaky and experimental like a Doctor Strange game. But, as it turns out, this isn't just wishful thinking - it's happening.
According to Moth Culture, Remedy is going to announce its AAA Doctor Strange game alongside a teaser for this summer's E3 conference. Although the user hasn't exactly been the most trustworthy source of information in the past, what's interesting here is that Moth Culture is not the only one to make similar claims. Over a year ago, Evan Filarca also claimed that Remedy's been working on a AAA Doctor Strange game even before he leaked the info. With multiple sources suggesting the same thing, Remedy could very well be sitting on what arguably could be one of the best comic book video games for current-gen consoles.
Unfortunately, Remedy Entertainment is transparent about all the games in its pipeline. After CrossfireX, Remedy has at least four games in the works. This includes an Alan Wake sequel slated for a 2023 release as well as a multiplayer Control spin-off and a big-budget sequel. Finally, there's the co-op multiplayer game codenamed Vanguard that Remedy is working on with Tencent. You can find all this information on Remedy Entertainment's official website.
