John Cena carried the torch for the WWE throughout the mid-2000s and early 2010s after the wrestling promotion moved on from its more mature content-filled Attitude Era to the corporate-friendly PG Era.
But, while Cena has always maintained a squeaky-clean reputation, he's had his fair share of issues with other talents. Most recently, R-Truth shed some light on the alleged issue he and Cena had in the early 2000s. At the time, R-Truth had signed with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling after working for the WWF as K-Kwik from 1998 to 2002.
Decades later, R-Truth revealed the truth behind the supposed beef on the Nothing Beats Experience show, saying: When I signed back to the company, Cena was the big dog and everybody was waiting for us to meet face-to-face. Everybody was waiting, knew I signed back. The boys are so crazy, man. Umaga, RIP Umaga, man, he got me to come back and even he was in the locker room.
When I got to the locker room, all of the boys were sitting down just watching. Cena was in the bathroom. So, when I came in I didn't notice. They're all sitting there waiting. When he came in, he looked, he said, 'We not gonna have any problems, are we?' I said, 'Man, hell no. I'm on your ship." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzJ7X0GWgSU
