Payday 3 might as well have told everyone to put their hands up in the air and give it all the cares they have in the world as that's definitely how it felt like when it dropped by at the Xbox Games Showcase.

Amidst the crowd of promising titles, Payday 3, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular co-op FPS franchise by Overkill Software, took the spotlight. It definitely appears that our appetite for chaotic shootouts and adrenaline-pumping heists is going to be well-satiated later this year once the game comes out on September 21.

The Payday series, boasting over eight million players on Steam for Payday 2 alone, has earned its reputation by delivering heart-racing co-op action centered around heist scenarios. The release date of the third installment was leaked earlier, but the Xbox Showcase allowed fans a well-deserved official announcement along with a glimpse of the gameplay.

There was no shortage of cinematic allure intertwined with the showcased gameplay after the initial teaser from earlier this year. A chaotic frenzy of heists, weapons galore, and good old havoc is the order of the day.

Payday 3 seems to have inherited the classic touch from its predecessors, courtesy of Overkill Software. But it's not just the old that the game is banking on; a mysterious 'unknown threat' centering around New York City promises a fresh narrative.
