Paramount+ to welcome two new South Park movies this 2021

This is all certainly good news for South Park fans who have been missing the controversial satirical show.

At the moment, audiences can stream all the South Park episodes on HBO Max, save for a handful that the streaming platform deemed too controversial for its viewers. However, following the premiere of South Park's 23rd season in 2019, the showrunners have decided to put the series on indefinite hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The good news is that the South Park drought is about to end. Unfortunately, we have zero clues about what the plot of the new South Park movies is. There's also no information available about their release dates.

We believe that the next two movies are going to be more like the recent specials that were released in October and March. Although we wouldn't be entirely surprised if the movies end up being a lot larger in scope and scale than initially expected.

With that said, given the constricted time frame, it would be unreasonable to expect the upcoming movies to have similar production values as 1999's South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut.
