Overwatch 2 is getting badass Diablo 4 crossover skins on October 10

With crossovers for both Call of Duty and Overwatch 2, it's clear that Blizzard Entertainment wants to spread the good word about Diablo 4 to as many people as possible.

Unfortunately, this is much easier said than done. Diablo 4's stock within its community right now is at an all-time low, as is its Twitch viewership. It will take more than just crossover skins to drive players back to Diablo 4.

The same can't be said for the Diablo crossovers to other games though. Overwatch 2, despite the earlier backlash and review bombing, remains one of the most-watched games on Twitch. The same goes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

It's unclear if Blizzard will risk doing crossovers from Call of Duty and Overwatch 2 to Diablo 4 but we'll never know.

For now, Overwatch 2 fans can look forward to BlizzCon 2023 on November 3. This marks the convention's return to an in-person format for the first time in four years. Chris Metzen, who recently returned to shepherd World of Warcraft, is going to be in attendance to reveal what's next for World of Warcraft. Blizzard will also reveal its latest tank hero at the event as well as drop more details about the future of Diablo 4 following the release of Season 2, Season of Blood, on October 17, which was met with a lukewarm reception in its initial announcement at Gamescom 2023. Finally, there's the possibility that Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will close the event by formally announcing the closure of the acquisition, although that's probably highly unlikely.
