The George Clooney-led Ocean's Eleven franchise is one of the most popular heist films in Hollywood film history. The film, released in 2001, featured an ensemble cast and delivered entertainment to numerous cinemagoers. Now, Warner Bros. Discovery is working on a remake of the original Ocean's Eleven film, which came out in the 1960s. The film, which is currently untitled, will star Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling and is set to begin shooting on March 6.

This new information is courtesy of a listing found on the official Film & Television Industry Alliance website with a project summary that reads, "Remake of the original Ocean's Eleven that is set in Europe in the 1960s starring Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie." The listing has identifed the film's director as Jay Roach, the man behind Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Bombshell. It also confirmed Carrie Solomon has signed on as the writer and mentions a host of names, including Gary Ross, Josey McNamara, and Olivia Milch as the producers.

The forthcoming Ocean's Eleven's existence was first reported last year with claims that it is part of Warner Bros.'s new strategy to produce big-budget, cinema-worthy releases led by Hollywood stars. However, the reports stated that it will be set in Europe and will serve as a prequel to the George Clooney-led trilogy. With the FTIA listing, it seems this isn't the case.
