Activision Blizzard has done an excellent job keeping a tight lid on all the important details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, specifically, the multiplayer modes. Unfortunately, where there's smoke, there's fire. Or, in this case, a couple of professional NFL players who can't just seem to keep their mouths shut.
Cameron Dicker, a kicker for the Los Angeles Rams NFL team, as well as other unnamed players, possibly his teammates, appears to have gotten their hands on Modern Warfare 2 early on. As a result of their excitement of playing Modern Warfare 2 before anyone else, Kicker posted a photo of the Modern Warfare 2 menu on Instagram.
Dicker captioned the photo with, "Having fun on the new Call of Duty." Meanwhile, a different player posted a photo where you can make out the words "DMZ" at the top right-hand corner.
It didn't take long for the players to delete the images, but other sites have since retweeted the photo - guaranteeing that the internet has receipts of their mishap.
Several Call of Duty insiders has insisted many times in the past that Modern Warfare 2 will have a DMZ mode, which reportedly takes inspiration from Escape from Tarkov. One thing that the leaks have in common is that Activision has worked on the DMZ mode and that it will feature a mix of battle royale and survival game elements. More importantly, the Rams players all but confirmed that the DMZ mode is part of Modern Warfare 2.
