Silent Hill is one of the most iconic video game franchises ever. The first two titles helped set the bar for how a survival-horror game should be done and were arguably what spawned the entire genre in the first place.

Unfortunately, subsequent releases have not been up to par and the series has since remained silent for years.

Until now.

Or at least, that's what the recent rumors would have us believe.

VGC journalist Andy Robinson took to Twitter to discuss Konami's strategy for many of the IPs that they are currently sitting on. This included Silent Hill, which, according to Andy and his "well-placed resources", was pitched already to a "prominent Japanese developer".

Of course, in the very same tweet, he did not rule out the possibility that the franchise is seeing two reboots.

New Silent Hill Game Reportedly In The Works
