As the MCU is going through a slump, fans are hoping for the merc with a mouth to turn things around – and now it seems that his third outing will tie into the overall plot in more ways. The TVA has been rumored to be part of Deadpool 3 for a while now. We finally have confirmation that the group He Who Remained formed to police the multiverse will be involved with Wade Wilson and Logan.
Newly shared set photos from the filming of Deadpool 3 hint at a connection between the titular antihero, Loki, Fantastic Four, and the X-Men. Reliable insider CanWeGetSomeToast posted the leaked photos on X, formerly Twitter. One of the photos shows a member of the TVA Minutemen with an updated suit.
The Minutemen are the primary foot soldiers of the Time Variance Authority and are sent to various points within the Multiverse to catch people who mess around with the sacred timeline or create nexus events.
The new images confirmed the longtime rumor that Deadpool will be messing around with Cable’s time machine and cause havoc as he skips through time trying to undo things in his past like the death of his wife Vanessa and rescuing Logan.

Another image shared by the leaker shows the X-Men villain Toad, who is riding a car that looks a great deal like the Fantastic Four’s classic Fantasticar with an unidentified character riding shotgun. We know that Toad will be reuniting with Sabertooth in the movie.
We do not know yet what role Toad and Sabertooth will play, but this seems to confirm previous rumors that many of the characters from the X-Men universe are going to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the release of Deadpool 3.

The upcoming Deadpool 3 has been rumored to be one of the central films within the current Multiverse Saga. The appearance of all these characters suggests that Deadpool may be visiting timelines to recruit warriors for the upcoming Secret Wars against Kang the Conqueror.
If this is indeed the case, then we may see an Avengers: Endgame-style battle with all the heroes versus the variants of Kang. For now, rumors suggest that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may return as Daredevil and Elektra, presumably from another Multiverse as Charlie Cox is the current Matthew Murdock of Earth-616.
Channing Tatum has allegedly been cast as Gambit, a character that he signed on to play way back in 2013 and has been a highly popular pick with fans ever since, appearing in all kinds of fan art. Other X-Men rumored to be part of the movie are Storm, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Professor X, and Magneto.
It will be interesting how director Shawn Levy handles the huge number of stars in his MCU debut. We think that the adventure of Deadpool and Wolverine will be the central storyline and many of the characters with little screen time. Deadpool 3 is reportedly a farewell to the Fox Marvel Universe which is the reason why many of the characters are appearing in the film.
Deadpool 3 is coming to theaters on July 26, 2024.
