A new rumor from reliable insider Daniel Richtman reports that actor Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth may be in Deadpool 3. According to the information, Sabretooth's role in the upcoming movie will be "bigger than a cameo" but not central to the film's plot. However, the exact extent of the role has not been revealed.
If the rumors are true, then Schreiber will be reuniting with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the upcoming MCU movie. Sabretooth appeared in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine alongside both Reynold's Wade Wilson aka Deadpool and Jackman's Logan.

While these are just rumors at this point, it will be interesting to see what part Sabretooth plays in the upcoming film. In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it was revealed that Sabretooth and Wolverine were half-brothers which explains why they both have sharp claws and healing factor mutations. Both were recruited to Team X, a group of highly skilled mutants which included Wade Wilson.
During the events of the previous movie, Schreiber's character was seemingly being manipulated by William Stryker, head of the Weapon X program to coax Logan out of retirement. Stryker performed an experiment on Logan and Wilson turning them into Wolverine and Weapon XI, respectively. At the conclusion of the movie, Sabretooth helps Wolverine defeat a multipowered Wade Wilson and Stryker. However, Victor Creed's fate at the end of the movie was not revealed.
Schreiber expressed interest in returning as Sabretooth in 2017's Logan which would have been Jackman's final movie as Wolverine. However, he was staring as the titular character in the Ray Donovan TV series at that time preventing him from joining the cast of the movie. "It was very difficult given Ray Donovan's schedule, and I think they went a different direction as well with story," the actor shared in 2017.
Earlier this year, the actor once again said that he wanted to reprise his role as Sabretooth. However, Marvel Studios hasn't contacted him about the role.
"They didn't ask me. No, I mean, I don't think he was part of that story, you know?" Schreiber explained. "I would have loved to bring Victor back, anytime anywhere, but he wasn't part of that narrative. I wonder if I'm getting a little long in the tooth, so to speak, but probably not for Sabretooth."
In typical Marvel fashion, the studio limits the information it shares about upcoming movies. However, Deadpool's creator Rob Liefeld revealed that he had information about Deadpool 3 that would "melt your face." Sabretooth may also be joined by Gambit in Deadpool 3 along with other X-Men characters Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm.
Deadpool 3 is coming to theaters on May 3.

I still remember when he was first introduced X-Men Origins: Wolverine. A lot of people didn't care for that movie but I loved it.
He is such an underrated actor. Have said so for years.
If he is rumored and the movie is due May 2024, then I would say he most likely is in it.
