Mortal Kombat 11 sets a franchise record after earning $500 million

Welsh also adds that Mortal Kombat 11 is one of the top 5 titles in 2019 and the game has "generated over $500MM in LTD profit.

Mortal Kombat 11 sold a total of 15 million copies which makes Welsh's claim entirely plausible. The fighting game also offered two DLCs and microtransactions as an additional revenue stream for the title. The Aftermath expansion also added more revenue for the game.

With the commercial success of Mortal Kombat 11, it is no surprise that Warner Bros.is already working on a follow-up title. Just two months ago, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO announced that Mortal Kombat 12 is coming later this year.
