The most recent update to the MCU's fourth Spider-Man film comes as a surprise to many fans, as the movie wasn't part of the projects that Marvel Studios presented at D23 last year. It's unclear if the sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home will be part of Phase 5 or 6, but fans certainly have a lot of questions about the upcoming movie.
Marvel Studios boss, Kevin Feige, recently gave a promising update on the development of Spider-Man 4. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feige teased that the studio has "big ideas" and writers are "just putting pen to paper now."
This is a major development for Tom Holland's next Spider-Man outing as Marvel might finish working on the script soon. From there, Marvel Studios can work on recruiting the cast for Spider-Man 4, which is rumored to start filming this year with a budget of $200 million.
