The sophomore season of Loki is currently attracting a lot of viewers on Disney+, which shouldn't come as a huge surprise considering the popularity of the previous season. Loki Season 2 is setting its own set of records on the platform in the wake of its debut.

The second season of Loki premiered on Disney+ last Thursday evening, following the live nighttime release model that started with Star Wars: Ahsoka. In the next three days, the first episode of Loki season 2 was viewed by millions of Marvel fans, becoming the second-biggest premiere on Disney+.

According to Disney, the first episode of Loki reached 10.9 million viewers in the first three days. The premiere for season 3 of Star Wars: Mandalorian, which premiered in March, still holds the record for the biggest debut on the streaming platform.

Season 2 of Loki continues the success that started in 2021 with the first season. This is a good sign of recovery for Marvel Studios on Disney+ after the disappointing reception of Secret Invasion last summer, as well as stumbling MCU movie releases. It is clear that the Tom Hiddleston-led show still attracts a lot of attention from fans.

Loki is the first MCU TV show to have a second season on Disney+. Hiddleston returns as the God of Mischief alongside Owen Wilson's Mobius and Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie. The sophomore season adds Ke Huy Quan, specifically headhunted for the MCU, to the TV series. Jonathan Majors returns as Victor Timely, another variant of the supervillain from the 19th century.
