Marvel just dropped a new featurette for Loki Season 2 ahead of its release. The new teaser also reveals a last-minute schedule change for the premiere of the upcoming season. In the latest trailer, Marvel revealed that the second season of Loki is coming out on October 5th.
Tom Hiddleston is returning to the Disney+ series a day earlier than previously announced. It also gives fans a short behind-the-scenes look at the production of the second season with commentaries from Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, executive producer Kevin Wright, and Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomer Ke Huy Quan.

"Everything is stepped up a gear," Di Martino said in the featurette. "The stakes are huge. You get to see Tom in a suit. A lot of people are gonna like that." Wright adds, "We introduce this whole new corner to the MCU and these new characters."
Quan, who plays TVA tech specialist Ouroboros "OB", will be one of the new characters in the series. The actor was personally invited by Marvel boss Kevin Feige to join the MCU. "I've been a fan of the Marvel Universe for a long time," Quan shared. "I'm so grateful to be a part of this amazing series."
Loki Season 2 was originally scheduled to premiere on October 6th. Aside from the date change, Marvel is also changing the time slot for the upcoming season. All previous MCU TV shows on Disney+ premiered at 3:00 a.m. ET while the first episode of Loki Season 2 will premiere at 9:00 p.m. ET. All subsequent episodes will be released every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET.
The second season will only have six episodes and if Marvel only releases one episode during the premiere, it would mean that Episode 2 will arrive on October 12. Episode 3 will debut on October 19, Episode 4 on October 26, Episode 5 will hit the platform on November 2, and the season finale debuts on November 9.
Interestingly, the season finale of Loki will premiere just a day before The Marvels arrives in theaters. However, as with most other MCU movies, The Marvels will likely have an early screen on Thursday night at the same time as the season 2 finale on Disney+.
It seems rather odd that Marvel Studios would have two major projects overlap. Both The Marvels and Loki are critically important to the Multiverse Saga and an overlap will seemingly divide the audiences. An easy fix for this would be to release two episodes during the season premiere, which means that the finale would come out one week before The Marvels arrives in theaters.
Currently, there is no indication that Loki Season 2 will have a two-episode premiere. Marvel may have already considered the overlap before it announced the schedule for Loki Season 2 as the release date for The Marvels was already revealed back in February.
Season 2 of Loki arrives on Disney+ on October 5, 2023.
As much as I want to see season 2. I am not giving Disney another penny. I can't stand them anymore.
I was hoping for more than 6 episodes. Like short seasons like this for any series just feel too short and underwhelming. I feel like the first season got rushed because of it.
Gna be out of town still so i will have to avoid spoilers!
