Ever since games started looking better, the assets also started taking up more space. Before long, some of the best-looking games ended up taking more than 100GB of space. When you consider that the Xbox Series S only has a 512GB SSD and the PS5's storage isn't that much larger (granted, there are storage expansion options), 100GB is a lot. This is why fans were worried that Halo Infinite might take up a lot of space once it officially launches on December 8.

The good news here is that it won't - Halo Infinite's campaign is surprisingly light on storage.

Halo Infinite will not take up much space on your Xbox

The Leaked Halo Infinite File Size Is Good News For Gamers

According to the Xbox Game Pass app (via Whatifgaming), Halo Infinite's install size is 28GB. In total, Halo Infinite shouldn't take more than 50GB of space on your Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X. This is modest when compared to the largest video games ever where it's not unusual for gamers that look just as good as Halo Infinite (sometimes even worse) to consume double if not triple the storage space. In comparison, another recently-released Xbox exclusive, Forza Horizon 5, takes up more than 100GB of storage space.
