Konami's recent announcement of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is getting fans excited. With renewed interest in the series, the studio is open to more remakes in the future.
In a recent interview with IGN, a spokesman confirmed that the studio is considering more Metal Gear remakes. The only condition from Konami is audiences should keep on demanding them.
"Regarding remakes of previous games in the series other than Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, we will listen to player demand and consider accordingly," the spokesperson said.
It sounds like Konami would wait and see how Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater does before it even takes a look at other titles in the series. The studio did choose to remake Snake Eater first as it is the first game based on the timeline of the series.
Konami also picked the third installment in the series as fans asked for it. The huge interest in Metal Gear Solid 3 pushed the studio to work on the remake.
