Jeremy Irvine set to star in Return to Silent Hill movie

The Canadian actress gained recognition for her role as Eleanor Bonneville in Jigsaw and then followed it up with X-Men: Dark Phoenix, where she played Elaine Grey. Her portfolio also includes the horror anthology series named The Purge, which aired for two seasons before being discontinued in May 2020, where she played Jenna Betancourt.

Konami also confirmed that Christophe Gans, the director of the 2006 Silent Hill movie, will return to direct the upcoming cinematic reboot. When talking about Irvine and Anderson replacing Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean, Gans claimed he is "delighted" to have them both on the team, speaking highly of their "wonderful talents". Producer Victor Hadida promised that the iconic monsters from the Silent Hill 2 game will be included on top of some new designs with production set to kick off next month in Germany and Eastern Europe "Return to Silent Hill is a mythological love story about someone so deeply in love, they"re willing to go to hell to save someone," Gans said.
