The already star-studded cast of the penultimate Fast and Furious film just got a little bit bigger. Just hours after reports that Jason Momoa will join for an unknown role, the official Fast and Furious account on Twitter has made things official.

Fast and Furious 10 is a big deal for the high-octane racing franchise. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson might not be coming back despite Vin Diesel's earlier plea, but the movie will see several familiar faces come back. Behind the scenes, Justin Lin is back to direct Fast and Furious 10 as well as the finale after taking a short break following Fast & Furious 6. Meanwhile, Chris Morgan will return to write the script as production is set to kick off later this year.

With Jason Momoa now confirmed to join the family, audiences are understandably excited to find out just how he'll fit in.

Plot details about Fast 10 remain thin at the moment, but we do know that it's going to premiere a year from now on May 19, 2023. We also know that the original cast members are all coming back. However, it is interesting to see Momoa sign on for an unknown role, and remains to be seen if he will play the role of a villain or protagonist or if he'll initially be on the opposing side of the crew only to join them later on, similar to what happened with John Cena in F9 and The Rock in Fast 5, among others.
