The Flash is finally happening. After jumping through several hoops, including Warner Bros. Discovery firing Zack Snyder and surviving the dissolution of the DC Extended Universe, the film is now a few months away from premiering in theaters worldwide on June 16. Now, after testing well with audiences last year, Peter Safran and James Gunn had nothing but high praise for the upcoming DCEU film.
When speaking to Variety, Safran clarified that he and Gunn "had input" on The Flash" but clarified that they didn't have to do anything to "set it up." Gunn doubled down on Safran's statement by saying that The Flash is "one of the best superhero movies I've ever seen" before praising the film's director, Andy Muschietti, for doing "an amazing job."
Unfortunately, Gunn couldn't quite confirm if Ezra Miller will stay on board, despite earlier rumors suggesting he might not be following Henry Cavill and The Rock out the door.
