The PlayStation 4 has been around for a while. When it was first released in 2013, Guerilla Games was still known for making the PlayStation-exclusive shooter franchise, Killzone. So, you'd understand why some fans were concerned when Guerilla confirmed that Horizon Forbidden West was going to be released on both the PS5 and the PS4. It certainly didn't help that Guerilla took its time sweet time dropping footage of Forbidden West running on the nearly-decades-old console.
Thankfully, PS4 owners can now rest easy with Forbidden West looking mighty fine on the base PS4 model.
Guerilla has done an excellent job unraveling everything that there is to know about Forbidden West ahead of its February 18 release. In recent months, audiences have gotten a look at all the tribes of Forbidden West and the game's all-star voice cast. Guerilla also released photos of Forbidden West taken on a PS4 before dropping gameplay footage from a PS4 Pro.
