According to Warner Bros. Senior Global Brand Manager, Arien Darby, Warner Bros. Discovery's Hogwarts Legacy is akin to Harry Potter catching the golden snitch - it's the baseball equivalent of a homerun.

As spotted by @bogorad22 on Twitter, Hogwarts Legacy "achieved 256% to plan sell-thru at launch" as he listed everything that the game did at launch, including securing nearly a billion in revenue in two weeks, among others.

What makes Hogwarts Legacy's success particularly interesting is that it's not even out on all consoles yet.

Given that Hogwarts Legacy is still coming to the PS4 and Xbox One as well as the Nintendo Switch, the sales figures of the game should improve more.

We'll likely get a chance to hear more about how the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy will affect the sales numbers on May 8 at the company's annual stockholders' meeting.
